ARC Review-- Trophy Wife by Alessandra Torre

Everyone in Nashville knows Nathan Dumont. That’s what happens when you develop half a town and sleep with the rest.
Four years ago, his fiancee disappeared.
Last night, he proposed to me.

I had wanted to escape my life, the seedy strip club and the mountain of bills. I had seized the opportunity to live in a mansion, fill my days with country clubs and caviar, my nights with romance and sex.

Maybe I should have done my homework first.

After reading Hollywood Dirt and Love in Lingerie by AT, I had become her die hard fan so naturally I had some great expectations from Trophy wife. After reading the Blurb I was really excited to read the book but as soon as I started with it, all of my expectations just went into sort and I was left a little disheartened. I haven't read the prior version not this book but I was damn sure that I was hoiya to like this one, the title alone intrigued me but I guess I was wrong this time.

The story revolves around Nathan and Candace. Nathan is as rich as they come but there are some crises due to which his money gets locked. Candace is a stripper who regrets her life decisions. Once upon a time she had everything but when her father got sick, she was left with nothing except of an event management degree that had no use for her because of her low GPA. So all in all, she was a spoiled brat who had no care of what she had and thereby turning into a stripper to survive.

Nathan approaches Candace with an offer of a contract marriage. Candace has no choice else than to accept it in order to leave her stripper lifestyle and help her father become better by shifting him into a better facility.

Image and video hosting by TinyPicLife as a trophy wife? Piece of a freaking cake.

Nathan has his own reasons to marry Candace. I don't want to spoil the plot for you so I am not revealing much. As the story proceeds their attraction towards each other increases thereby making it hard to ignore. Nathan's hard and heartless attitude makes Candace lonely and thereby she starts fucking his bodyguard for some extra attention. I mean that just takes out all the romance from a romance novel. Cheating is a huge no for me in romance novels. As Candace comes to know more about Nathan, secrets are revealed and hearts are broken. Will they ever get their happily ever after.

So in a nutshell, this was an average read for me... I didn't like it  much.. the characters were just sort of vague. I didn't see any sort of character development. It was a romance novel but there was no connection between the characters other than the sec part. In my opinion the characters were just downright irritating. The plot/storyline was amazing but the way it was written or the scenes were depicted or I don't know what didn't really appeal to me but this book was definitely not for me.

All in all this book wasn't for me with all the cheating and irritating characters. I hope to read other books from AT because one book doesn't take her out from my favourite authors list.

Nathan- 3 Stars
Candace- 2.5 Stars
Supporting characters- 2 Stars
Plot- 3.5 Stars
Storytelling- 4 Stars
Sexual tension- 5 Stars

BOOK REVIEW: BOUND BY VENGEANCE(born in blood mafia chronicles #5 ) BY CORA REILLY

Growl
He’d never had something to himself, never even dared to dream about owning something so precious. He was the unwanted bastard son who’d always had to content himself with the leftovers of others. And now they’d given him what only a few weeks ago had been out of his reach, someone he wasn’t even allowed to admire from afar, one of their most prized possessions. Thrown at his feet because he was who he was because they were certain he would break her. He was her punishment, a fate worse than death, a way to deliver the ultimate punishment to her father who had displeased them so greatly.

Cara
She had always been the good girl. It didn’t protect her.
She didn’t know his real name. People called him Growl to his face and the Bastard behind his back. Both were names he couldn’t possibly have chosen for himself. His eyes were empty, a mirror to throw back her own fear at her. He was a brutal hand of the Las Vegas Camorra.
And now she was at his mercy.

ARC Review: Intrepid by Keri Lake

In the corner house of an empty street, there is a boy inside a box. In that boy, there lives a secret, one so dark, it’s sealed with locks.

Nearly ten years have passed since the night I was captured. Tricked and betrayed, I suffered the hours of brutal torment with death’s cold whisper across my skin. And when the nameless faces that haunted my nightmares took everything and everyone I loved, I feared I’d never be free of the darkness.
But that's the thing about fear. Over time, it breeds anger, and when anger fills the box, vengeance bleeds out.
It's been almost a decade since I escaped their hell, staying in the shadows, hiding my demons, and God help them now that I've tasted retribution and crave more of it.
Blood is the price for pain, and I vow to take everything and everyone they love. I’m no longer a frightened boy, but the intrepid vigilante, a ruthless executioner, who will stop at nothing to punish the depraved few that stole my life and walked free.

The plan …

Lev by Aurora Belle

For the very first time in his life, he is affected. Having been told his entire life that he can't process or understand emotion, he considers it a big deal.

When Mina Harris gets caught red-handed with a wallet that isn't hers, she falls apart. She's tired, lonely and hasn't eaten in days.

Lev offers her an ultimatum... A nice warm bed, a hot meal and a job, or the cops.

Mina takes her chances with Lev.
After all, a person with nothing has nothing left to lose.

Review: Imperfect Misfits by Devanshi Sharma

Tiasha: I am very annoyed.
Aakaash: That’s your job, Tiasha. Good that you are doing it well.
Tiasha: And I am very serious.
Aakaash: When are you not!
Tiasha: Argh! I hate you, Aakaash.
Aakaash: Thank God for small mercies!
Just like a scoop of vanilla ice cream makes the sizzling chocolate brownie delicious, these best friends complimented each other. A chef by passion, Tiasha jumps and waves through her professional choices, while Aakaash, the witty stand-up comedian, knows exactly what he wants.
He was the tranquility which refugees crave to stay in and she was the refugee, who wanted to wander and explore. Imperfect Misfits is a story of perfect misfits, food, frolic, emotions and their endless imperfections.
The question is, will their friendship survive through this wavy journey of love?

ARC Review- The Boy And His Ribbon By Pepper Winters

“What do you do when you meet your soul mate? No wait…that’s too easy. What do you do when you meet your soul mate and have to spend a lifetime loving him in secret?
I’ll tell you what you do.
You lie.”

REN

Ren was eight when he learned that love doesn’t exist—that the one person who was supposed to adore him only cared how much he was worth.
His mother sold him and for two years, he lived in terror.
But then…he ran.
He thought he’d run on his own. Turned out, he took something of theirs by accident and it became the one thing he never wanted and the only thing he ever needed.

DELLA

I was young when I fell in love with him, when he switched from my world to my everything.
My parents bought him for cheap labour, just like they had with many other kids, and he had the scars to prove it.
At the start, he hated me, and I could understand why.
For years he was my worst enemy, fiercest protector, and dearest friend.
But by the end…he loved me.
The only problem was, he loved me in an entirely differe…
