BOOK REVIEW: LOVE IN LINGERIE BY ALLESANDRA TORRE

33133783
I hired her to fix my company, to bring Marks Lingerie back to life. I didn’t expect her to become my friend. I didn’t expect to fall in love with her.

The first rule of business is to never touch your employees. I think there is another rule about not falling for your best friend—a rule against imagining the curves of her body, or the way her breathing would change if I pulled down her panties and unzipped my pants.

Now, I can’t wait any longer. I’m tossing out the rules.

Damn the company.
Damn our friendship.
Damn my fears.

So guys I am going to be completely honest here, I seriously didn't think that I would like a book with a hero who is actually an alien. But holy moley...did I love this book. Actually I am in awe of this book. This book CAPTURED my attention from its very first page.

OH MY GOD This was one hell of an angsty ride and I already want more.

This is my first Alessandra Torre read and I am absolutely not regretting reading it.

When I first stumbled across the title "LOVE IN LINGERIE", I Just picked it up. Honestly, the title fascinated me and once you are into the book, you can't put the book down.

Trey Marks*fans-self* is the owner of Mark's Lingerie and is company is in verge of ending and his life is falling into pieces. He is desperately in need of that one person who would save his ass from the downfall. He is temperamental and can be a real asshole and a cocky bastard but he is also swoon worthy*turns me into a puddle of mush*. Enters Kate Martin, she is bossy and I love it. She applies for the position of creative director at Mark's Lingerie. On her first meeting with Mark, she despises him but at the same time her body desires him*feel the heat*.
"SPOILER ALERT"--Kate is engaged but she asks for a break up so that's not the issue.
"According to the industry
 rumours, he's never been
married, fucks like an animal and
has a mouth like my shower
massager".
Trey Marks is a man far from the simple needs, he needs to save his company and rebuilt his empire and he needs to be in control to not to fuck the only woman who could save his Marks Lingerie. He wants to bend her over the table but has to control his desires and be on strictly work terms with her.Kate is exactly what his company needs and his cock too.
They both were strictly on work term bases and with time became best friends. They were not in a relationship until the end.

"SPOILER ALERT"--Trey is into threesoms and kinky sex.

Sexual tension is unbearable, you can feel the energy. They just want to rip each others clothes and kiss and sometimes cuddle, but they just can't give into the temptation. There came a point when I wanted to shove them each other and tell them to kiss already.

Trey realises that he is in actually in love with Kate, but he just can't confess because he thinks that he would lose her forever.

“I could tell her how I feel and plead for her heart. I could come inside of her, and have her for the rest of my fucking life. "

Their relation is so sweet and hot and sexy at the all at once. Their regular banter adds the much needed humor in the story. Their possessiveness for each other is another plus point and Trey's cocky and easy going attitude is the cherry on the top.

"If our love was lingerie, it'd be leather, thin strips of binding that could withstand a hundred years of war and peace, fights and love making".

 Trey's Rating-- 5 stars
 Kate's Rating--5 stars
 Story Rating--5 stars
 Plot Twist Rating--4 stars
 Sexual Tension Rating--4.5 stars
 Sexual scenes Rating--4.5 stars

BOOK REVIEW: BOUND BY VENGEANCE(born in blood mafia chronicles #5 ) BY CORA REILLY

Growl
He’d never had something to himself, never even dared to dream about owning something so precious. He was the unwanted bastard son who’d always had to content himself with the leftovers of others. And now they’d given him what only a few weeks ago had been out of his reach, someone he wasn’t even allowed to admire from afar, one of their most prized possessions. Thrown at his feet because he was who he was because they were certain he would break her. He was her punishment, a fate worse than death, a way to deliver the ultimate punishment to her father who had displeased them so greatly.

Cara
She had always been the good girl. It didn’t protect her.
She didn’t know his real name. People called him Growl to his face and the Bastard behind his back. Both were names he couldn’t possibly have chosen for himself. His eyes were empty, a mirror to throw back her own fear at her. He was a brutal hand of the Las Vegas Camorra.
And now she was at his mercy.

REVIEW-- Ira Oberoi's Pursuit of Love by Niti Chopra

Sparkling and zesty with a dash of green, a Virgin Mojito is a unique blend up and Ira is one lucky girl to have found her Mojito – tall and handsome with green eyes, he is in every definition the intoxication for her. In a twist of tales, the traditional concept of the boy wooing the girl goes for a toss. Smitten at first sight, she boldly pursues her love interest, every bit candid and upfront about it.

But what is a concoction if not for a heady mix of elements? Her descriptive personal diary falls in the hands of her mother who, on the verge of a cardiac arrest, forbids her from getting into a relationship with the guy she has fallen for.  Will Ira stand up for the love that she has found?Or will she be the ideal daughter and keep the promise for her mother’s sake?

Will hers be a love story that finds it difficult to have a sweet ending or will it be the perfect fairytale to be remembered down the years?
Will Ira Oberoi’s Pursuit of Love be successful?

1. Devil In Winter (Wallflowers #3) By Lisa Kleypas
Some Quotes From Devil In Winter “Mysteries of attraction could not always be explained through logic. Sometimes the fractures in two separate souls became the very hinges that held them together.”  --------------
“If my love can hold you, I'll keep you with me.”
--------------
“Ah, Evie,” she heard him say softly, “I must have a heart, after all…because right now it aches like the devil.”
“Only your heart?” she asked ingenuously, making him laugh.
He lowered her to the bed, his eyes sparkling wickedly. “Also a few other things,” he conceded. “And as my wife, it’s your duty to ease all my aches.”

Plaza Requiem: Stories at the Edge of Ordinary Lives by Martha Batiz

Mexican-Canadian Martha Batiz has crafted, in her first collection written in English, visceral stories with piercing and evocative qualities. She has filled her recognizable, sisterly/motherly, and imaginative characters with qualities we all hold close to our hearts, but this is powerfully juxtaposed by the uncertainty that lurks at the edges of ordinary lives. Most often they are women, trapped in violent relationships, facing dangerous political situations, or learning to live with the pain of betrayal. Yet Batiz's stories shimmer with the emotional surge of vindication, evoking the rewards women attain after a powerful exploration of their darkest moments. As an emerging writer, Batiz crafts her stories with qualities reminiscent of Joyce Carol Oates, Shirley Jackson, and Cuban author Leonardo Padura: with precision, haunting vision, and the will to survive all odds.
